At a distance of 29 km from Devgad, 73 km from Malvan and 100 km from Ratnagiri, Vijaydurg Fort is an ancient fort situated on a hill near the mouth of the Vaghotan River in Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra. It is one of the largest forts in the Konkan coast of Maharashtra and also one of the top places to visit in Ratnagiri.

Here every year millions of domestic and foreign tourists visit. About 100 shilings are carved on the yachts of the sea. During the ohti, these Shivlingas can be seen. The ancient cave in Kunakeshwar is a cave located in a mountain of junction in a mountain in Kunakeshwar village. There are many masked masks of Shivling, Nandi, and men and women in this cave.

Sindhudurg has some of the prettiest waterfalls in Maharashtra, and you would love to visit them all. The most famous are the Napne waterfall in Sherpe Village, Vaibhawadi, and the Amboli Falls in the Sahayadri Range. Amboli is a hill station, and offers beautiful views of the Sahayadri Hills. The Hiranyakeshi River also flows from the hills across Amboli. this is the only falls which have accessed using well-built concrete steps going up. It is a nice place to visit the falls, enjoy the water place, and spend some time out there, mind you there is an entry fee of Rs 10/- for anyone wanting to go up the stairs. The steps can also be slippery. We had been during the winter months, but yet there was water instead of no water. It is worth visiting this falls if you’re planning for Amboli. In a rainy season this is one of the most beautiful route to drive in western ghat. Unlimited curves, wa‐ terfalls, fog, wonderful views and so much fun in this place makes to feel like come back again and again.
